WCG Nordic 2006 kicks off!

[s]event_293[/s]WCG Nordic 2006 has started! Top 8 Swedish players have gathered at the Playz Internet café, and will battle for the lone spot for the WCG Grand Final, hosted in Monza, Italy. The players are divided in two groups, where the two top placed will move on to the playoff.

The playoff will also be played on Saturday, the first semi final at 15:00 and the second at 19:00. The Grand Final will be played tomorrow, Sunday.

The Norwegian Semi Finals will be played at 20:00 on Saturday. As there are only four players in the Norwegian offline final, no group play was needed. Creolophus, TargA, GamlaSonn and HenL will play eachother.

Group A will be replayed with FuRy, GLaiVe and Tharkas, because of all three players ending at 6 points. FuRy defeated Tharkas, GLaiVe defeated FuRy and Tharkas defeated GLaiVe. The three players will play eachother again, and the Top 2 will move on to the semi finals.

ElakeDuck and LiiLD.C have qualified for the final already, with ElakeDuck winning the group. This means that he will face the player ending second in Group A. and LiiLD.C the winner of the tiebreaker.

The Norwegian Semi final has been played. Creolophus won by default as TargA did not show up. Although spc.HenL played GamlaSonn in a match ending 2-0 in favour for Gamlasonn. The Grand final will be played tomorrow at 12:00 CET.
