Among the teams who qualified through applying, we find the Korean professional team WeMade FOX featuring Jae Ho "Moon" Jang and Deok Man "SocceR" Yoon. Serious-Gaming with Kevin "RotterdaM" van der Kooi as team skipper as well as the two youngsters Hjalmar "DowaQ" Högberg and Kim Dong "ViOlet" Hwan is also in the list of teams.
Title holder clan Go with the star trio Shy, FocuS and Space are of course in the list of participating teams, as well as runner-ups Mousesports with Wei Liang "Fly100%" Lu and Huang "TH000" Xiang.
The 24 teams will be paired up into four groups of six, which is the first round of the WC3L. The eight best teams will advance to the second round - the playoffs - in which the group winners will qualify directly while the second and third placed teams will go head to head in a group cross-over direct elimination match.
The groups will be announced on Wednesday, September 9.
