Benjamin "DeMusliM" Baker made sure it was not an all Asian story in the Top 4 of the qualifier to Intel Extreme Masters Global Challenge in Chengdu after beating Future in the quarter final.
The English Human started off by getting a default win over Daniel "ixi" Spenst to continue his successful run, taking down Chul Woo "Shy" Park and Sheng Hui "Future" Li both by a 2-1 score.
Other players to qualify for the $10,000 event in Chengdu were Hyu Sub "FoCuS" Eom, Sung Sik "ReMinD" Kim and Hyeong Ju "Check" Lee.
High profile and top ranked players Deok Man "SocceR" Yoon and Du Sub "WhO" Jang missed out the chance to qualify for the event after losing to Check and the latter to ReMinD.
Worth noting was that DeMusliM was the only non-Asian player in the Top 8, and that former SK player Seo woo "ReiGn" Kang lost to Cheng Long "Sai" Zhou in the first round.
GosuGamers can reveal that two more players will be pinned down to the invitation list later today, and the final two tomorrow.
