TopReplays with a $100 cash tournament

TopReplays.com has announced that they will be hosting a tournament this upcoming Sunday with prize money involved.

If ESL announcing a summer league wasn’t excited enough for you then maybe this will interest you abit more. The folks over at TopReplays.com have announced that they will be hosting a $100 cash tournament this weekend.

The tournament will take place this Sunday, 26th of July 2009, and is scheduled to start at 12:30 EDT.

The tournament organizers will be using software for their tournament, where players submit their replays and the tournament software will handle the wins and lost. One of many reasons for this tournament is to also test their system.

The tournament will follow a simple single-elimination and best-of-3 format. Matches from the quarter-finals till the grand finals will be best-of-5.

It is important for all those who are participating to know that they will not be using the regular Warcraft 3: Reign of Chaos and Frozen Throne maps instead they will be using Doodad’s map. Although when playing the map they seem like regular maps, when watching the replay you can see the players click, APM and more actions.
