The four pre-hand favorites advanced to the second round with no trouble except for Grubby's close win over DeMusliM.
An inactive Kim "SaSe" Hammar was able to defeat Juan "VortiX" Moreno Durán, by a 2-1 score. We saw Dmitriy "Happy" Kostin take down fellow Russian Nikita "Nicker" Pomadov 2-0. Big brother Pedro "LucifroN" Moreno Durán was no worse, as he took down Thomas "ThomasG" Glinski 2-0 as well.
The best match of the round was the one between Manuel "Grubby" Schenkhuizen and Benjamin "DeMusliM" Baker. After a narrow win in the first game for the Dutchman, the UK man bounced back with a tower rush on Echo Isles. But experience could once again prevail, as Grubby blademastered his way to victory on Turtle Rock.
