Sixteen of some of China's best players have been selected to compete in the IEF China 20009, which is taking place this weekend in Dalian. The top four players of the tournament will move to the Global Finals, which are taking place in Suwon, South Korea.
The players have been split into four groups of four. The matches will all be played in a Best-of-1 format and if there is a tie the players will have to play a tie-breaker. If a tie-breaker does not determine the player who would proceed then they will simply draw a name to proceed.
From there on, they move to a Single-Elimination and a Best-of-3 bracket. The competition has a lot of strong players competing. The two Chinese players from Mousesports and nearly the entire World Elite team are amongst these competitors.
Xiang "TH000" Huang has been placed in a group with three World Elite members, so it should be interesting to see how that turns out.
