After fourteen playdays of constant action it all came down to the top4 German players to battle it out at Finals for the EPS Season XIV Champion title. The Finals are played using a single-elimination and best-f-5 format.
Daniel "XlorD" Spenst, the defending Champion came one step closer at defending his title. As the no.1 seed he had to play against Heinrich "SoKoL" Rennert.
As expected XlorD switched to human in order to play against Orc. He had it rough in the beginning of the first game, losing his Archmage and a few footmen. But later in the game he gathered a large army of caster to fight off SoKoL's army. With a strong AOE combo with Thunderclap and Blizzard he was able to drastically reduce SoKoL's army size.
After losing the second game, XlorD decided he was simply going to use his main race, Undead. The two last game where XlorD used Undead went a lot better for him. In both games he was in control of the map and with his tri-hero he was able to blast the Blademaster to death, ridding himself of a big problem.
XlorD now proceeds to the Grand Finals where he will be facing his teammate Stefan "dArk" Lehmann. dArk's victory against Tim "HLA" Gebel was a very convincing, winning three games in a row and dropping not one map.
The EPS Season XIV Finals continue today with the third place decider between SoKoL and HLA at 12:00CET, followed by the Grand Finals at 14:15CET with XlorD and dArk.
