GG.net Rankings December 2007

Our world ranking based on our result database. Counting all the results way back since 2005 from all the major online and offline events. This ranking is purely based on results, no special expert biased opinions or anything - pure results.

Moon still the first - no big changes at all

Compared with the last month's ranking we don't have too big changes this time. Only a total of three new players made it into the Top30 and the biggest ups and downs have been around 6-8 ranks.
Moon is still ranked first, but Sky managed to climb up to the second place after not losing at the WC3L finals. Lyn on the other hand suffered from the loss against FoCuS which cost him a lot of points, he therefore fell down one rank and ends up third.

The biggest winner has been InFi, who climbed up a total of six ranks. Lucifer on the other hand lost the most ranks - a total of eight - after a bad WC3L finals performance, where he lost three out of four games. The players that have been able to get new into the rankings are XlorD, XyLigan and LiKe.

Nightelf just sligtly ahead in Top30, but dominating the Top10

Last month we had a total of eleven Nightelf payers in the Top30, this time it's only nine. The other races got seven players in the rankings each. Sounds quite balanced at all, doesn't it? On the other hand - if we take a look on the races of the Top10 players we find six Nightelves, two Orcs and Humans and not a single Undead player.

Although there are several world calls Undead players from Korea, Happy is the highest ranked. This might suprise, although Happy is known as a very good player. The position as the highest ranked Orc and Nightelf did not change, Lyn and Moon are still the best ranked of their race. ToD was not able to defend his rank against Sky and therefore the Chinese Human player is the highest ranked Human right now.

World Elite surpasses SK gaming, Korea still the most powerful

As one can see, World Elite is currently the team that has most of the Top30 players in their roster. The last time this has been SK Gaming, who now are ranked second due to releasing their players HoT and XlorD. If those two were still part of the German organization, SK Gaming would be ranked first with a total of six players. Next to SK, MeetYourMakers is ranked second, with their WC3L finals roster being in the Top30. Gravitas Gaming made a big step this month, the new team already has got two players within the best thirty players.

Country-wise not too much changed. Korea is still ahead the others, but has got one player less than last month. Therefore China was able to add one player and is coming closer. Russia was able to get ranked third alone with two players in the Top30 (XyLigan and Happy) and Germany was able to come into the rankings with XlorD. Therefore Hungary (DNA) and Poland (sLh) fell out of the ranks.
