WC3L in numbers

As you all know the Warcraft III Champions League season XII has now come to the playoffs and qualification. The regular season has just been ended with playday 11. And what a season it has been. The closest one ever when the outcome wasn't sure until the last game was played. At the WC3L homepage, they have also ranked all the players based on their preformance in this season. Here I´ll go through the top 5 and the bottom 5 players of that list.

The top 5:

MYM]Susiria
Name: Korea Jung-Ki Oh 1on1: 71%
Team: Korea MeetYourMakers 2on2: 75%
GosuGamers Ranking: #18 Wins/loss: 34/14
1
450 At the first position we have Susiria from MeetYouMakers. This is pretty surprising. Susiria is one of the most underrated players in the pro gaming scene right now. You barely never hear anything about this Korean undead player. He is most known for his 2on2 games with Lucifer. They have, this season, played a total of 23 games together. They have a win percentage of 65%. Meaning that they have won 15 games and lost 8. This 23 games have been played in 8 matches and they have won 6 of them. This places Susiria at the second place in the 2v2 statistics this season.
Susiria has not only played 2v2 with Lucifer this season. He has played a total of 24 1v1 games and won 71% (17 games) of them. Susiria is only beaten by SaSe in the 2v2 statistic who have played 24 games and won 18 of them. This gives him a win% of 75%. Susiria, however, has a better 1v1 score than SaSe which puts him in the total lead of the table.
Susiria has played a total of 48 games this season. Of them he has won 71% (34 games). This is a really good win streak in this close season, when it seems like everyone has beaten everyone. Susiria is without a doubt a key player for MYM, but with star players like Moon and Lucifer he is a bit in the shadow. But he seems to be happy with that, as he always performs good and he really is a team player.

fnatic.Satiini
Name: Finland Juha-Matti Bäckström 1on1: 73%
Team: Europe fnatic 2on2: 71%
GosuGamers Ranking: #16 Wins/loss: 24/9
2
425 At the second place we have Satiini from Fnatic. Satiini has, this season, carried fnatic as he has taken half their points in WC3L. In opposite to Susiria, Satiini is mostly a 1v1 player. He has this season played a total of 26 solo games and won 73% (19 games) of them. This put his +/- this season at +15. Satiini is the reason fnatic didnt finish last this season. The best fnatic player after Satiini is Rob, who we can find at place #36 with a +/- of 0. The rest of the fnatic players are in negative +/-. The question is if Satiini will stay in fnatic for the next season or if he will get a better offer from another team.

MYM]Lucifer
Name: Korea Jae Wook Noh 1on1: 64%
Team: Korea MeetYourMakers 2on2: 63%
GosuGamers Ranking: #10 Wins/loss: 31/18
3
447 Here we have another MYM player in Lucifer. I have already written about his 2v2 games with Susiria. Lucifer however is a lot more than a 2v2 player. He is one of the top Undead players out there. He has, this season, played a total of 25 solo games and won 64% (16 games).
Lucifer is MYM´s most used 1v1 player this season with 10 matches. Lucifer is a really important player for MYM as you can count on him at all times, and he has a great amount of respect in the Warcraft III scene with his routine. He has been on the top of the warcraft III scene for a long time now. We have for sure not seen the last of this Korean undead start.

MYM]FoCus
Name: Korea Eom Hyo Sub 1on1: 78%
Team: Korea MeetYourMakers 2on2: 0%
GosuGamers Ranking: #24 Wins/loss: 18/5
4
1160 Here we have the third MYM player in top four, FoCus. This Korean Orc player has lately been a player to count on. He has shown some great games and has been very important for MYM as he has played almost in all their matches. Only Lucifer has played more 1v1 matches for MYM this season. FoCus however is mostly a 1v1 player while Lucifer players a lot of 2v2 games as well with Susiria.
FoCus 1v1 score this season is 18 wins and 5 losses (78%). This for sure is a great record and a important part of MYM´s fantastic WC3L season. Who will be able to stop FoCus and MYM in the playoff this season?

Bet.Fov
Name: Korea Dae Hui Cho 1on1: 65%
Team: China Beijing E-sports Team2on2: 67%
GosuGamers Ranking: #19 Wins/loss: 23/12
5
397 The last player to make it into the top 5, is the Korean undead player FoV from Beijing E-sports Team. The former 4K player has had a great season with Bet, who will play against We Are Go for a playoff spot. They sure need FoV there to be able to beat GO for a spot in the finals. FoV is very important to Bet as he not only plays good 1v1 matches but also 2v2, mostly with Sweet. Those two have a score of 9 wins and 4 losses (69%) this season. Fov has also played 2v2 with Check this season. Their score is 3 wins and 2 losses (60%).
Bet sure needs Fov to make it to the playoff. The second best Bet player in the ranking is Who. You can find him 20 places below Fov at #25 with a +/- of +2.

The bottom 5

wNv.Xiaot
Name: China Li Wei Sun 1on1: 33%
Team: China wNv Teamwork2on2: 0%
GosuGamers Ranking: #17 Wins/loss: 6/20
1
625 At the bottom of the ranking we have a huge surprise in XiaOt. The chinese orc player from wNv has had a terrible season. You should be able to expect a lot more from such a player like XiaOt. XiaOt has only won 6 games this season and he has a +/- of -14. In his best moments he can compete with the top players in the world, but this WC3L season has not been the best. He's had a lot of bad luck and he hasn´t managed to win a single 2v2 game out of 6 tries. His team, wNv, can only hope to get XiaOt in shape for the qualification as they will really need him to have a chance at playing in WC3L next season.

OMA.S.Jack
Name: Bulgaria Radoslav Milenov 1on1: 0%
Team: 2on2: 0%
GosuGamers Ranking: #125 Wins/loss: 0/10
2
1497 Here we have a player from the inactive clan of WE.Just, OMA.S.Jack. Before Just went inactive he played 10 games, 6 1v1 and 4 2v2. He managed to lose them all. None of the Bulgarian players in Just never really got the chance to show their skill and Jack is one of them. Only time will tell if he will get the chance in another WC3L team.

mTw.Pato
Name: Brazil Bernardo Rodrigues 1on1: 14%
Team: Germany mTw.PokerRoom2on2: 33%
GosuGamers Ranking: #58 Wins/loss: 5/14
3
8211 point better then Jack this season we have mTw's NightElf player Pato with a +/- of -9. He has, this season, played a total of 19 games. Most of them are 2v2 games where he has a score of 4 wins and 8 losses (26 %). He has also played 7 1v1 games. His score in 1v1 this season is: 1-6 (14%). This gives him a score of: 5 wins and 14 losses (26%). He has, however, beaten Lucifer and Susiria in 2v2 with his teammate Protois. This is very good considering Lucifer/Susiria might be one of the best 2v2 teams out there today.

wNv.Sai
Name: China Cheng Long Zhou 1on1: 45%
Team: China wNv Teamwork2on2: 11%
GosuGamers Ranking: #11 Wins/loss: 11/20
4
1990Just over Pato we have the second wNv player in the bottom 5, Sai. This NightElf player has played a total of 31 games this season, most of them 1v1 games. He has a score of 11-20 (35%) this season. Sai is also a player who has to step up for wNv to stay in WC3L for the next season.

MinHyuk
Name: Korea Min Hyuk Jo 1on1: 35%
Team: Korea We Are Go2on2: 33%
GosuGamers Ranking: #550 Wins/loss: 10/19
5
1476 Here we have the orc player, MinHyuk, from We Are Go. MinHyuk has mostly played 1v1 matches this season for his team of We Are Go. He has played 26 1v1 games and only 3 2v2 games. In the 1v1 he has a score of 9-17 (35%). He has, by far, been Go's weakest link this season as the Go nearest player is Kei, 35 places ahead. MinHyuk really needs to step up to be able to help his team in the upcoming qualification against Bet.

Summary

Ok, lets sum up these statistics then. The biggest surprise here is XiaOt placing last. He should be able to do a lot better than that. That's the situation for most wNv players this season. This simply hasn't been their season. They can now only hope to gain shape before the qualifications for the next season. The highest ranked wNv player this season is recall on #21 with +3. With players like Xiaot and TH000 they have to do a lot better than this to earn their place in WC3L.

Three out of the top five players this season are MYM players. This is what makes them a winner team. They have both the star players, Lucifer and Moon, and they have the hard workers who do anything for the team like Susiria and FoCuS. With a great team-play this season you have to say that they have earned their place in the playoffs. MYM has taken at least 2 points in all their clan wars this season and lost only to Bet, Go and SK. They have managed to beat top teams like 4K and WE with a 5-0 score. This is what makes them a winning team, they always take points in every single clan war.

Another player worth mentioning is Satiini. He has this season made a huge effort and he is the reason why wNv is last and not fnatic. With half the points of fnatic in his hands, he can look back at this season and be proud. He has this season taken a big step forward and has developed from a talent into a reliable player who hardly never has a bad day.

Now we can look forward to the playoffs. Only one thing is for sure this season, it will be one good playoff. It has been said before, but I´ll say it again, this season has been incredible close and will most probably continue to be so in the playoffs. It will be a great weekend in Cologne the 17th to the 18th of November, thats for sure.
