New month - new ranking!
We are proud to present our world ranking, based on our result database, for September 2007. Since our last report in June several new players have taken a spot in our top 30 ranking. From now on, we will present the ranking in the beginning of every month with a clear overview of all the changes.
Ladies and gentlemen, we have a new leader
During the summer lots of events has been taking place - NGL, WC3L ESWC and CEG just to name a few. All of them have been added to our database and they have changed the positions in our ranking significantly. The biggest news is that a new player has taken over the throne - Xiaofeng Li, better known as Sky from World Elite. He passed the previous number one, Moon, with only two points giving him a total of 1439 points. The big reason for his advancement is PGL 2007, where he went through the tournament with an excellent record of 14 wins and 4 losses. The best European player this month is ToD, taking the third place with 1436 points, which means only 3 points differs first place from third place.
Five new players have managed to get into top 30; three from China and two from South Korea. Most impressive of them is FoCuS, who is residing at 13th place, much because of his great performance in the NGL-One playoffs. The biggest drop during the summer was made by Sweet. Five straight losses and a 6-6 record in PGL made him decrease from 18th place to a mediocre, by his standards, 36th place. Deadman, who recently joined Defining Stars after being released from SK-Gaming, also made a big drop by 12 spots. Even though he's the best Russian player, he is now ranked as 23rd.

South Korea dominating and 50% Night Elf players in top 30
Top 30 breakdown by race
|
| # | Race | Players | Highest rank

| #1 | Night Elf | 15 | Moon

| #2 | Human | 7 | Sky

| #3 | Undead | 4 | FoV

| #3 | Orc | 4 | Grubby |
Yes, you read right! Of the 30 players half of them are playing as Night Elf and four of them reside in the top ten spots. Orc and Undead are the least represented races with four players each and Human comes in second place with seven players. If one looks at the nationality of the players it becomes clear that the majority comes from Asia. South Korea tops the list with 11 players where six of them are in the top 10, followed by China with seven. The only one representing North America is Nilknarf and the remaining players all come from Europe where Sweden and Russia has two players each - the rest are they only ones from their country to be in the top 30. When looking at what team the players are playing for one can see that MYM, SK and 4Kings are sharing the first place with four players each, closely followed by World Elite with three. A rather surprising fact is that two players without any team, Fire and Soju, are in the top 30.
