T1 expands its VALORANT club with the addition of TenZ, one of VALORANT’s top figures.
In a surprise announcement, two major forces in VALORANT–and esports as a whole–have collided. Prominent content creator and former professional VALORANT player Tyson “TenZ” Ngo has joined South Korean giant
T1 as an official influencer.
The reveal arrived alongside a cinematic trailer posted across social media, carrying the tagline: “Legends are made when the best stand together.” The video notably ends with TenZ saying, “Wait, so… does that mean I get to meet Faker now?”, a clear nod to the South Korean esports legend Sang-hyeok “Faker” Lee, which immediately sparked excitement about potential future collaborations.

TenZ joining T1 marks a historic partnership in esports
TenZ is arguably one of the most recognisable figures in VALORANT history, renowned for his raw talent and early dominance in the competitive scene, winning Masters Reykjavík 2021 which was the first international LAN for the title. He retired from professional play in September 2024 to pursue full-time content creation.
For a while, TenZ had no affiliation with any esports organisation, making this move to T1 the first time in years that he will officially wear an esports jersey again. His last organisational involvement was with
Sentinels, where he competed as a player and later transitioned into content creation before fully parting ways in May 2025.
While TenZ carries an enormous reputation within VALORANT and the wider esports ecosystem, his new home is equally prestigious.
T1 is one of the biggest esports organisations in the world, largely driven by its legendary League of Legends division. However, the organisation also fields strong teams across multiple titles, including its VALORANT roster, which notably won VALORANT Masters Bangkok last year.
The announcement has already made a huge impact, surpassing four million impressions on X within just two days. Fans are particularly excited to see another iconic figure join the same organisation as Faker, with many already anticipating crossovers between the two esports superstars.
TenZ, in his new role as T1 content creator, will represent the organisation through livestreams, content collaborations, and potential co-streaming of top-tier VALORANT events, while supporting T1’s competitive VALORANT division.
To celebrate his arrival, T1 has also launched a giveaway, with two lucky winners set to receive a Pulsar mouse signed by TenZ.
