Blizzard's innovative way of telling Overwatch's story through Animated Shorts and Comics outside of the game has recieved many plaudits. On Monday May 16th at 18 CET / 10 PDT the third Animated Short, titled "Dragons", premieres. The Short will focus on the Story of the two Shimada brothers Genji and Hanzo.
The two brothers grew up together as members of the Shimada Clan, a powerful Japanese Mafia under the lead of their father. While Hanzo, as the eldest son of the family, spend his formative days as a dutiful servant of his father, Genji pursued a carefree lifestyle as a young womaniser. Upon the death of their father, power struggles and personal clashes in the clan forced Hanzo's hand and had him assassinate his younger brother.
The Short will tell the story of Hanzo returning to Hanamura and their family residence to seek redemption where he will be, as Blizzard put it, "confronted by the ghosts of the past". The Short premieres on PlayOverwatch.com at 18 CET / 10 PDT. Don't forget to tune in!
