Luminosity acquires mixup, the #3 team in NA
With the Open Beta and release day coming ever closer, yet another big organization decided to pick up an Overwatch team: The former TF2 all stars from mixup will now be playing under the Luminosity flag.
The team currently ranked 7th in the world and 3rd in North America according to our GosuRankings recently picked up a bit of steam with a second place finish in last weeks GosuGamers Weekly NA #8, after taking out Cloud9 in what many perceive to be the best comebacks in the short history of Overwatch. Moving forward, the team around fan-favorite Seagull will be hoping to build upon their recent results.
Luminosity will field the following lineup:
- Brandon “Seagull” Larned
- Anthony “Harbleu” Ballo
- Yomar “Milo” Toledo
- Brian “Pierow” Alesandro
- James “Esper” Southall
- Carl “Enigma” Yangsheng
This is what team captain Seagull had to say on the Luminosity website:
“We are extremely excited to have the opportunity to represent Luminosity. We're a team with a long history in a small game and consider ourselves lucky to have found an organization with a close-knit atmosphere and proven track record, to match our own. We hope to do Luminosity proud.”
