The upcoming Version Luna VIII update “Sunny Summer Fontinalia’” has a lot in store for travelers, and we're all excited about the long-awaited summer special event!
Dropping on 1 July, players can expect tons of new content, including a new event, quests, and a new playable character in Sandrone, the Marionette of the Fatui Harbingers.
So what's in store for the final patch for Nod-Krai? Before we dive into that, don't forget to redeem the livestream codes!

What are the character banners coming to Genshin Impact Version Luna VIII?
Genshin Impact Version Luna VIII first half banners: Sandrone and Citlali
The first half of Version Luna VIII will finally debut one of the most long-awaited characters of the Nod-Krai patch: Sandrone. She will run alongside Citlali.
Sandrone is a Fontainian automaton created by Alain Guillotin, whose story was explored through the Ann of Narzissenkreuz World Quest line of Fontaine. She is modelled after Allain's deceased sister Mary-Ann, and keeps Allain's last creation, Pulonia, as her companion.
Sandrone became a key character in defeating Dottore, sacrificing herself in order to aid the Traveler and Columbina during the climactic fight. Arlecchino would later salvage Sandrone and Pulonia's cores, which is likely what will allow Sandrone and Pulonia to be revived.
As a playable character, Sandrone will be a 5-star Cryo character with a preference for the Claymore.
Unfortunately, Sandrone is no longer accompanied by the beloved Pulonia. A new automaton servant, Fagio, takes its place. Sad as it may be without Pulonia, Sandrone's arrival does come with a new and upgraded take on the Superconduct elemental reaction: Stellar-Conduct. As a playable character, it seems that Sandrone will be a flexible character that is able to fulfill DPS and Sub-DPS roles.

The second half of the version will feature the Electro Archon Raiden Shogun, as she runs alongside Columbina.
What are the weapon banners running in Genshin Impact Version Luna VIII?
The weapon banners for the first half will feature Sandrone's signature weapon, the 5-star claymore A Teaspoon of Transcendence. It will run alongside Citlali's catalyst, Starcaller's Watch.
The second half will feature the Raiden Shogun's 5-star naginata, Engulfing Lightning, alongside Columbina's signature catalyst: Nocturne's Curtain Call.
What are the events coming to Genshin Impact Version Luna VIII?
The annual summer event is here! And with it, new skins for characters Citlali and Charlotte. This time, we return to Fontaine with the Fontinalia Film Festival, with Columbina by our side. However, a big surprise awaits us, as Sandrone, who disappeared after being defeated by Dottore, has returned in a new and upgraded form.
The event will hold a number of mini-games and a quest for player's to enjoy. Completing the requirements will reward travelers with rich rewards like Primogems, ascension materials, and more.
The event is revealed to be a permanent addition to the game, so players can take their time enjoying the festivities!
Citlali is also getting a unique new summer outfit, alongside Charlotte. Charlotte's skin is available to redeem for free, as well as the ability to actually invite Charlotte into your party.

- Leyline Overflow - double drops on XP materials and mora
Which characters are getting buffed in Genshin Impact Version Luna VIII?
A handful of characters will receive enhancements with the arrival of Stellar-Conduct, these include:
- Wriothesley
- Yae Miko
- Qiqi
- Cyno
- Yumemizuki Mizuki
- Diona
- Beidou
The buffs will trigger through a Polar Star Field, which can be attained through a revelation from Barbeloth, a witch of the Hexenzirkel. These characters will run in a special banner alongside their weapons through “Lightrace Wish.” The guarantee for this banner is shared with the Chronicle Banner.
It is important to note that the buffs will only be attainable if these characters are in a party with Sandrone. It is also likely that Cryo Traveler, which will only be unlocked upon our arrival to Schnezhnaya, will be able to provide these buffs as well.
What is Genshin Impact's new map expansion on the moon?
Yep, we're going into outerspace. Columbina invites the traveler to outerspace, specifically to her abode in the moon. This new area will feature a new quest that allows players to explore the moon, where a mystery is underfoot.
The map expansion will feature tons of new content to look forward to, including new gameplay, new creatures, and new areas to explore.
