Bren Esports fail to secure a win in Week 1 of the MPL - PH Season 7

Week 1 of the Mobile Legends Professional League Philippines (MPL – PH) Season 7 is done and dusted, with some massive upsets.

After their masterclass victories at both MPL – PH Season 6 and M2 Championship, Bren Esports seemed like the team to beat in Season 7, especially after making no changes to their roster and the wealth of experience filling the team. However, Onic PH were the first to take down the previous champions, even after losing two of their best players in the off-season period, while the local favourites of Nexplay Esports crushed Bren Esports in the weekend’s final series. With only a singular game win and no series in week 1, it seems we are already seeing some great new strategies to bring down the giants.

Another surprise came from the opening series for week 1 at MPL – PH Season 7, as Execration showed their class by finding some revenge over Omega Esports after their loss in the Season 6 playoffs, while we also saw a rather impressive Blacklist International victory over Aura PH yesterday with a Franco and Yve pick to grab the win.

Week 2 will seemingly spice things up a whole lot more as we will see Bren Esports in action twice again, this time against both Aura and Execration – but it remains to be seen whether or not they will manage to save their poor season start or if new giants are on the rise. The schedule for week 2 is as follows:

Friday, March 26th

-          Execration versus Blacklist International

-          Omega Esports versus Nexplay Esports

Saturday, March 27th

-          Aura PH versus Bren Esports

-          Blacklist International versus Laus Playbook Esports

Sunday, March 28th

-          Work-Auster Force versus Nexplay Esports

-          Bren Esports versus Execration

-          Onic PH versus Laus Playbook Esports

As we continue through the MPL – PH Season 7, it will be interesting to see what meta shifts will appear and if teams such as Bren Esports will be able to pull themselves back on track before everything gets out of hand.
