The sponsorship debacle between the Korean tech giant LG and the progaming team Incredible Miracle has finally ended, Osen report. This comes a whole year after the problems between the team and the sponsor started.

As was reported two months ago, the debacle originally dates back to October 2012 when the contract between the two parties ended but LG refused to pay IM what they were owed. As a result, IM's head coach Kang Dong Hoon had to operate the team out of his own expenses and sub sponsors while consulting with KeSPA, who then agreed to investigate the matter.

Following said investigation, LG and IM agreed to re-sign the contract, virtual agreement was eventually reached and IM continued to compete with the LG tag on their uniforms. In December 2012, LG stated that actual renewal of the contract will be problematic but only fully rejected it in April 2013, whole four months after the end of the negotiation period. At the time, Incredible Miracle still hadn't received compensation for their promotion of LG, the latter promosing to run events worth $10,000 in prizes in return.

Yesterday, the Korean team officially dropped the LG logo from their name and uniforms as a result of this debacle. According to Osen, the sponsorship deal amounted to 50,000,000 KRW a year which is upwards of $470,000. The team still has a total of nine sub sponsors after dropping LG.

Incredible Miracle currently operates two League of Legends teams and one star-laden StarCraft 2 roster. The LoL rosters are also scheduled to play the OGN Winter 2013-2014 qualifiers in the next two days, with IM #2 playing KT Rolster Arrows on October 25th at 11:30 CET and IM #1 facing Samsung Galaxy Blue the next day at 13:30 CET.
