Mainly known for his multiple online tournament wins, Serbian Terran of Team Cascade Aleksandar "Beastyqt" Krsti?? announced his retirement a few hours ago. Krsti? will be leaving competitive StarCraft 2 and pursue career in League of Legends, yet to find a team in the new game.

Originally of team uAo, Beastyqt would leave them to join Empire in January 2011, where he spent the majority of his StarCraft 2 career, playing alongside names like Happy and Kas. On June 28th this year, Beastyqt left Empire to join Cascade in early July but he would stay there for just about two months, parting with the Ukrainian roster on September 12th.

A week after his departure from Cascade, Beastyqt now announces his retirement from SC2 and transition to League of Legends. His statement on his Facebook reads:

In the past three years I won over 70 online tournaments and got around 40 second places which im really happy about. Those weren't WCS's or IEM's or Dreamhack's, but its something! I attended IEM x2, Dreamhack x2, I represented my country at WCG 2011, I've lived into gaming house for 4 months in California and im just happy overall how I did, I wouldn't trade my experience in eSports for anything in the world!

I will be switching to League of Legends and that's the game I have passion for right now and will try to become professional player there once I managed to find a team. I switched to League of Legends full time 3 weeks ago and I'm in Diamond 1 with 49 points so half way to challenger!  Maybe I will fail, maybe I won't, but one thing is for sure and that is that I will regret if I didn't try.

I know there will be a lot of people coming to tell me I sucked at Starcraft II anyway and that im switching to League of Legends simply because its easier. Nope, I lost my passion for Starcraft II long time ago and I want to do something I love and enjoy doing, that something was once Starcraft II and it's time for me to move on.

Those who actively hate on League of Legends are free to unfollow me on all social networks! I will be streaming League of Legends from now on starting tomorrow at 2 PM CET on www.twitch.tv/beastyqt
