Team 8 renamed to Green Wings, venture into LoL

As of today, Team 8 will bear the new name of Jin Air Green Wings as they acquire a new sponsor in the airlines brand. The team will also expand into League of Legends, running two brother teams under the names of "Stealth" and "Falcons".

Team 8 was created in 2011 under the management of KeSPA after the disbandment of WeMade FOX, MBCGame Hero and Hwaseung Oz. It was created with the purpose of giving players from those teams a new home and allowing KeSPA to run the Proleague with a full and stable line-up.

After two years of being run by KeSPA's finances, Team 8 finally gets another sponsor in Jin Air, Korean Air's low-cost brand and the company which sponsored the 2011 OSL. For additionaly managerial stability, KeSPA will continue to be involved with the team, while Korean Air and Viamonoh (the clothing company which provides for Jin Air attendants) act as sub sponsors.

Additionally, Green Wings have picked up two League of Legends rosters and have become the fourth KeSPA team after KT Rolster, SK Telecom and CJ Entus to venture into professional League. Green Wings have picked up the roster of ESG (formed of ex SK Telecom players) to become Green Wings Falcons. They have also acquired the players from Hoon Good Day (comprised of former players from Xenics, NaJin Shield and AHQ) to be the Green Wings Stealth.
