87bdb279ecf214fca4f92dbb61b4ff174ff158fbaf1bfa54bc45e3ff6e.jpgMaik "MoMa" Wallus, formerly the mid player of team Mousesports announced via Facebook his official retirement today. Wallus states that he will instead focus on studies and family. Belonging to the old-school generation of League of Legends professionals, MoMa started his career back in 2010. For his two and a half years of being part of the scene, MoMa has been a part of a multitude of well-renowned teams, including Team Dignitas EU, aAa, Millenium, Absolute Legends, SK Gaming, mTw and Mousesports. It was his time with aAa and Mousesports that brough MoMa his greatest achievement, among which the silver from Season 1 World Championship, the fourth place at IEM WC 2012, the second place at Elite of Europe and the bronze at Campus Party Berlin. Mousesports was also MoMa's last professional team, which he left in December 2012 as the organization acquired the roster of Mighty Midgets, releasing its previous line-up. The statement about MoMa's retirement comes from Wallus' Facebook, an excerpt from which can be found below:

One of the reasons is simply that i want to focus on my studies nowadays. Because of season 3 its not possible for me to do competive gaming and studying at the university. It would mean living in a gaming house in cologne which wouldn't make it possible for me to have a healthy student life. In the last 2 years i slacked already a bit in my studies because of playing in a profesional team. I always had a problem going fully into one of this 2 areas, I always wanted both, competive gaming for now and studying for the future, but its not possible anymore. So after long thinking i finally could break trough my will of playing competive and focus everything on university. I just for myself dont see gaming as a future thing, I cant imagine myself to have a secure job there for longer years, even if I can see myself easily playing in season3. THe other reason is that I found my partner for life in this game . She moved from sweden to live with me in germany, this would interfer aswell too miuch with a gaminghouse. And to be honest i rather live with my girlfriend than with other guys in a chaotic gaming house, but everyone has his own view on this.
