coL vs DIG
Complexity looks to keep themselves fresh by launching the first day of the behemoth 40 game super week. Though Dignitas had reacquired Crumbzz, things were still looking grim for the, at the time, number 2 team. Complexity yielded any aggressive attempts from Dignitas and handled things very well.
After maintaining the lead early on and taking care of business for most of the game, you would think that the opposite ends of the playing field were occuring. However, the underdogs shined through and took the victory home against Dignitas.
TSM vs MRN
Next, we'd have a close game between MRN and Team Solomid. While the game was looking close from an initial perspective with MRN taking many advantages. Though MRN fought rigorously to maintain advantages they had made, Team Solomid's experience shined through as they ended up bringing things under their control.
MRN would eventually find themselves helpless to a Team Solomid they were neck and neck in during the progression of the game. Regretably, there was no upset to be had here as TSM wanted badly to secure themselves in the second place of North America, taking out MRN.
GGU vs coL
Complexity has been looking more fresh than ever since the addition of Pr0lly, but Good Game University was on an insane win streak. That streak was ended when the teams would cross swords and go even for the majority of the game.
As time went on, Complexity managed to apply just a little more pressure than GGU, allowing them to tip the favor in their scales and secure many objectives. Not willing to throw with this advantage, Complexity pushes it to the finish line for a 2-0 this week.
CLG vs TSM
The battle of the OG Titans commenced with CLG coming off an astonishing scrim record the prior week. Unfortunately for them, scrim records mean virtually nothing when it comes down to competing live with nerves, rankings, and their jobs on the line.
Though Doublelift had a confident pick in his Twitch, his play was fairly shut down by the intelligent composition that TSM would boast this game. While CLG tried to dive for WildTurtle, he was a tad more slippery than the likes of Twitch, allowing TSM to focus Doublelift over and over and end the fights quickly. TSM would take this one home, ending with a 2-0 today.
GGU vs CRS
In perhaps the most climatic game of the night, Good Game University would face off with Curse, a team they haven't beaten before regardless of how close they came. In this game, however, GGU would take a substantial lead early against the top team in North America. However, things quickly turned grim when they were aced after contesting a dragon in a bit of an inconvenient situation.
While Cop started out with a 5-0 twitch due to the dragon, this still wouldn't be enough for Curse to secure a win. Through excellent farming and wave control, GGU was able to turtle it out and find their own advantages. After nearly an hour long back and forth fight, an excellent play from Good Game University would allow them to close it out and reign supreme against the Curse terror.
CLG vs DIG
The final game of the night would come down to Counter Logic Gaming vs. Dignitas, who both have not been looking to hot within recent performances. While Dignitas has a fantastic track record against Counter Logic Gaming, that would not pay its dividends here.
Counter Logic Gaming took an absolutely colossal lead early on after a first blood on a greedy Imaqtpie attempting to 1-man invade the double golems of blue side. Dignitas kept slipping into simple mistakes, allowing CLG to end the game 12-0 with total map control and Crumbzz being outsmited by the burst from L1nk, who successfully scured 2-3 objectives utilizing excellent timing.
