Details for Perfect World's 1,000,000 RMB tournament will be announced on 19 April. According to Gosugamers insider, the tournament will begin on May and run well into July.
Perfect World will be holding a press conference on 19 April to announce the details of their upcoming 1,000,000 RMB (~$160,000) tournament.
Gosugamers insiders who are working closely with Gamefy told us that the tournament will start in May and run for two months till the end of July. The tournament will be held in Shanghai where most of the professional teams are. Besides that, SGamer reported that the organizers will be inviting ten professional teams and most probably play a ten teams round robin stage before the playoffs.
The games are expected to be played in a local studio, much like G-League did in early 2013. The official details of the tournament will have to wait till the 19 April announcement.
Perfect World acquired Valve's rights to distribute Dota 2 in China late last year. Perfect World announced their partnership with Gamefy in a press conference on the 8 March. Rumors have been spreading over the last few months among Chinese personalities that Perfect World will be hosting massive qualifiers in China for The International 3 later this year.
