Liquid are sometimes called "Team Taeja" and yesterday it was rightfully so. After starting 0-3 against ROOT, Liquid released their Korean Terran to turn the series around completely.
Before Taeja had the chance to shine, however, it was up to Acer and MVP to debut in the TeamStory Cup. Hoping that Super can bring them the same amount of success as in the IPTL, MVP opened with Super and the Protoss did not disappoint. Not only did he win the opening match but he also smacked down MMA twice to eliminate one of the strongest names on Acer's roster. Not until Nerchio stepped forth did Acer managed to take a series away but it was already too late. His and Scarlett's victory was not nearly enough to make a comeback and MVP took it hom 5-2.
In the second match of the day, ROOT came as the underdogs against the powerful roster of Team Liquid and quickly took a 3-0 lead thanks to Sage's prowess. With HerO, Zenio and Ret down, Liquid immediately evoked the player who has brought them much success in the past - the one and only Taeja.
Taeja did what was expected from him and went on an absolute tear. He started by eliminating Sage and Masa and proceed to beat YuGiOh three times to nail the 5-3 comeback for Liquid.
