Tencent LPL Spring 2013 Debuts this weekend

The Tencent LoL Pro League 2013 Spring Season is the first season of China's entirely professional League of Legends series sporting the best teams in all of China.

The season will be very similar to North America and Europe's LCS and will sport a season 10 weeks in length. 8 teams have qualified, 2 coming from TGA Winter 2012 and 6 from playing in the spring qualifier itself. The format is very similar to LCS's where all teams play each other four times in a BO1 series.

The top 6 teams will be seeded into the summer season with the top two teams rightfully earning their spots into the World Championship Chinese qualifier. The playoffs will also be round robin but in BO3 format. Though not salaried by Riot, the teams will have a chance to win over $230,000 in prizes shared amongst the 8 competing teams.

Participating teams
China World Elite
China Royal Club
China OMG
China Team LH
China Invictus Gaming
China Wings of Aurora
China Wayi Spider
China Positive Energy

The Chinese stream for the games can be found here and will begin it's debut on March 16th.
