Gamefy and Perfect World has teamed up to launch local and international Dota 2 offline tournaments with prizes up to 1,000,000 RMB. Not much information were given but plans estimated to kick off in mid year.
G-League official broadcaster, Gamefy and Valve's official Dota 2 distributor in China Perfect World, has just announced their partnership in a press conference in Tushang, China today.
In the conference, both companies state that they will be organizing local and international offline tournaments with over 1,000,000 RMB (~$160,823) in cash prizes.
Not much information were given over the microblog Perfect World posted but insiders expect the plans to kick off somewhere around mid-year.
Perfect World acquired Valve's rights to distribute Dota 2 in China late last year. Rumors have been spreading over the last few months among Chinese personalities that Perfect World will be hosting a massive qualifiers in China for The International 3 later this year.
