EternalEnvy holds open tryouts for new team

EternalEnvy is back in the market and he is forming his own team through an open tryout on NADota forums. The team has three confirmed members, Clairvoyance, Lust and EE himself.

Ex-NoTidehunter captain, Jacky 'EternalEnvy' Mao posted a thread on NADota stating that he will be doing open tryouts for players in his upcoming team. His team currently consist of himself, Clairvoyance, and Lust. All three players are from the North America region.

However, EE requires the new members to be prepared to play on European server because he stated that most of the tournament games will be played on the European server.

I'm looking for players to create a serious/professional team again. Currently we have 3 players locked and a few players in mind.

What I'm looking for:

1. Nearly/Full Time schedule: Players must be free at least 5 days a week to scrim during european times (10 am est till 4-6 pm est) and also for officials that go by european times as well.

2. You must want it badly: I don't want players that just want to win some small tourny and then think of quitting. Or anyone who wants to join just to pass the time. What we need are players that dream of achieving something big and want it badly enough to do anything it takes. Someone who isn't just forced to practice but wants to. Those nerds that smile when they figure out some neat ward or trick that can help improve their game.

3. Roles: This has to do with point 2 as well. What we need are players willing to do anything, willing to learn any role or make any sacrifice to have the team succeed. We don't need players that disrespect other roles or refuse to play support. I am not claiming that the players we are looking for are supports, but changes in the roster / changes in general might happen and roles may switch around. I don't want players quitting the team bcuz things don't work out in their favor. A good dota player can play any role or at the very least learn every role. I personally think I can coach anyone on every role for at least the laning phase.

4. Attitude: Players must be able to speak up for themselves when necessary. I don't want someone unwilling to disagree with my ideas or anyone elses on the team because they are scared of the boot. If you have a problem then speak up. People that hold on to problems and never speak up are cancerous to teams. Of course sometimes these things shouldn't be said during the game but at least afterwards. Not only am I talking about DotA players but player problems as well. If you straight up dislike someone on the team then tell them and fix it.

5. Servers: All players must be able to play european servers. It sucks but many games will be played on that server and I wouldn't want to lose games based on server alone. I will 1on1 anyone on the european server as part of the tryout.

About the team:

We have 3 players locked in: Clairvoyance/Lust/Me

Currently I am thinking of playing mostly mid or perhaps carry role. Most likely I will switch back to support though I just want to try it out. It wouldnt be surprising if I played 3 or 4 either.

Lust will either play 4 or 5

Clairvoyance will play anything.

We are mostly looking for another support player but that doesn't really mean anything as I personally believe that no one really knows how to play any of the 5 roles correctly under many situations. Especially not the 3 role and to a lesser extent the 4-5 role. So I'm not really looking for "experienced" 3-5 players, more so just someone who can learn them.

EternalEnvy founded the NoTidehunter team and the team quickly picked up fame as they mow through opponents in both online and offline tournaments. The team went on to win Dreamhack Winter 2012 in which they performed a risky Roshan bait that got the crowd grinding their teeth in excitement.

EternalEnvy was given the boot from NoTidehunter after the team thinks he is the reason they are having a drop in performance. Since then, EternalEnvy is without a team although many speculations prior to this announcement stated that he may join up with an European team.
