After a grueling quarterfinals day, the top four teams of SEA League were determined.
First Departure vs NeoES.TH
The first game of Singapore's FD and Thailand's NeoES showcased FD's balanced farm. While NeoES' Bear was heavily farmed, the rest of the team was severely underfarmed. To make matters worse, the winners of the first Qualifier had triple sheepsticks. With their Naga, the Singaporean team was able to get good initiations and pick off the enemy supports quite easily. They won game 1 on the 52nd minute.
The second game, meanwhile, was FD's domination. Poloson played an awesome Puck, racking up a score of 9-0-13 in 42 minutes of gameplay. Even the team's Chen had a quite amusing 6-0-7 game. Those 2 heroes helped control the map for their team, which eventually booked them a slot on the semifinals.
First Departure advances, 2-0
Zenith vs MSIEvoGT.TnC
The most notable pick in the first game was Zenith running a 4-position Juggernaut. It was actually looking tough for them at the beginning, because their trilane of Lifestealer, Jug and Rubick was matched by an offensive trilane of SD, Nyx and Weaver. A very sloppy start from MSI opened the way for Zenith though, and gave Yamateh's Lifestealer the opening he needed. When the game ended at the 31-minute mark, he had participated in 25 of his team's 31 kills.
Zenith totally outclassed their opponent in the 2nd game, and totally redeemed themselves of their loss against this same team on The Asia. They arguably won all lanes, including their offlane solo. Iceiceice displayed his awesome micro skills (with some item-dropping flairs) on his Bear, while xy-'s Storm outclassed the Lifestealer-SD dual lane at mid. The Filipino team really never had anything going their way on this game, and they lost on the 30-minute mark.
Zenith advances, 2-0
NeoES.Int vs Mineski
Mineski utilized a 4-position Naga, with the addition of Dark Seer, hoping to neutralize the very successful (currently, in the tournament) Lifestealer. While it looked good on paper, things just weren't going their way in the beginning. NeoES.int was handily winning the game, before Mineski's Jay showed great play using the Phantom Lancer, netting kills while surviving. After being down by a lot on Net Worth, he was able to recover and get a decent streak. Ninjaboogie's Storm had a very early Bloodstone, and the cheesy Naix-bomb on Storm provided lots of kills and bloodstone charges. The game ended at the 45-minute mark with Storm taking part in 36 kills.
The 2nd game was Mineski's turn to use the Storm-Lifestealer combo. However, this match was all about Blah's Beastmaster, with LD going so far as to call it 'Yao-esque'. He totally controlled the tempo of the game, giving space to boogie's AM to farm. When the game had ended, the 2 combined for 36 kills in just 40 minutes of play.
NeoES.Int advances, 2-0
Neolution.Orange vs Invasion.GIGABYTE
The first game featured Mushi's signature SF, and Invasion was determined to stop it. The Mag pulled middle and Fz played an aggressive Puck build, opting to skip out Phase Shift. His early harassment went futile though, as a successful smoke gank rendered him somewhat defenseless. After moving through the jungle, Mushi was already able to catch up on farm. While Invasion had a farmed PL, his team lacked firepower against 2 equally farmed opponent heroes in Luna and SF. Also questionable was Mag's Meks, Vlads and Talisman of Evasion instead of Refresher Orb. Orange finished the game on the 53-minute mark.
The second game started with Invasion getting the first blood, and a ton of disconnects followed it. After that though, Orange began controlling the game once again. While the score kept somewhat even for a long time, it was clear that Orange was ahead. Luna wasn't really able to finish his big damage items, and Orange conclusively won after they had completed their BKBs.
Orange advances, 2-0

The story of the semifinals will be the match-up of First Departure and Zenith for the fourth time in 12 days (they met thrice on FD2L, of which Zenith won twice). Another thing is the first match-up of Neolution.Int and Neolution.Orange.
It can also be noted that the MYSG region still remains very dominant within the SEA Dota 2 scene, occupying the Top 4 slots of the tournament.
