The groups for the LoL tournament at IEM Katowice were drawn today, splitting the six confirmed teams into two parts. The remaining two rosters that will complete the line-up are to be announced in the coming days.

Four European, two North American and two Asian teams will take part in the $50,000 competition. Although the Asian representatives are still to be determined (the Korean qualifier is played on January 12th and a replacement for Royal Club is still to be annonced), the Katowice line-up is already looking scary.

Group A welcomes the two times IEM champions formerly of Moscow 5 who were released from the organization today. They will be sharing a group with IEM Singapore champions MYM as well as Solomid Series winners and LSC 2 runner-ups Curse Gaming.

Two of the oldest European teams SK Gaming and Fnatic look to be the stars in Group B. SK are coming with a revamped roster since they last competed in premier tournaments and fans are awaiting to see how their new jungler hyrqBot will click withing the team. On the other hand, Fnatic are looking stronger than ever after crushing the competition in November and December and hail in as DH Winter champions and IPL 5 runner-ups. With the strength of the European force in mind, NA's Pulse Gaming are to expect a hardest of times in Poland.
