Fnatic 2012 - Year in Review

2012 has been a crazy and alternating roller-coaster ride for Fnatic with varying results from terrible to utter dominance.

Fnatic had a rough ride to become the machine they are today. They were practically unknown in the midst of some of the more popular teams around the time of the Season 1 World Championships, where they ended up taking 1st place.

At the time, it would seem as though that was the worst of decisions, but things started to be moving up for Fnatic.

Upon acquiring sOAZ and with the acquisition of Rekkles in the bottom lane enhanced by the support power of nRated would show no substantial promise initially, but after multiple performances, they would shock the world with a first place finish at Dreamhack Winter 2012, holding their title to the prior DreamHack where the World Championships were held. Following that, they kept up with consistent 2nd place performances in IPL5 and IEM Cologne.

With a strong ending of 2012, Fnatic had to say goodbye on the main roster and witness the unfortunate departuer of young AD player Rekkles and are now seeking to find an AD to continue their glorious successes in 2013, replicating the victories they have accomplished in the end of 2012.
