GSL 5 is over, who took the perennial Code S train?

The last GSL season for this year is done and some more Code S badges were awarded. Other players, including notable SC2 and BW champions, however, will have to go through the up/down harrowing first.

Protosses have not been having the best days in GSL this past season and this tendency persisted throughout Code A and all the way to its final matches which were played today. Vampire, First and Genius all fell short and missed what would've been a guaranteed Code S spot for the new year and at the end of the line, Parting is the only protoss to have entered Code A S5 and survive.

Translated, this means that among the twenty confirmed Code S players for the new season only two are of the protoss race, which is also the lowest any race has achieved this year. Twelve more toss users will compete in the up/down matches but with a line-up so stacked with names of Taeja, DRG, Fantasy and Flash caliber, it's not unlikely that the number remains lower than those for terran and zerg.
