The North American household name closes its doors with immediate effect. Sudden disengagement by investors is the stated reason and leaves all players and squads teamless for now.

Fans all around the world are getting a hefty reminder that eSports is a fickle business as one of the premier North American teams dissolves. Quantic Gaming’s quick rise to the top of the scene is only to be matched by its even more surprising downfall. In only two years of existence, the team has managed to be a mainstay at international events, stack up tournament wins and gather their players in one of the most remarkable team houses.

All that found its end when players announced today that Quantic would be no more. It was reported that, unbeknownst to players and organizers, investors were pulling out, leaving the team dried out financially.

While many of the StarCraft 2 players have been with Quantic for a long time, such is not the case with their LoL line-up. The five ex-Orbiters were picked up on November 11th and only played in two Solomid Series tournaments under the Quantic colors before ending up homeless today.
