WCS Global Finals: The groups are here

Unlike the previous WCS events, the global finals are kicking in with a group stage into single elimination top sixteen. Today, we join Day[9] and Bitterdam for the player seedings.

Although it's expected every group at the global finals to be stacked to bursting, there are certainly a couple that stand out, pumping up the hype even more. A quick glance at the line-ups gives away the star-laden and potential group of death with Stephano, HerO, Idra and RorO; the all-zerg Group B; and Group H that has nothing but national and continental champions.

Groups are in dual tournament best of 3 format (think GSL group stages) and Ro16 through semi-finals are best of 5, all ending with a best of 7 grand final.

All those stories and many more are being fired up November 17-18 in Shaghai, China. $250,000 are on the line - a sum so far unmatched as far as StarCraft 2 tournaments go - along with the boasting title of the 2012 WCS Global Champion.
