It was announced today that Seung Chul "sC" Kim, formerly a terran of team Mvp, will be retiring from SC 2 to pursue a career in League of Legends, although it's still uncertain where the former StarCrafter will go.
sC's SC2 peak dates back to 2011 with a Code S top eight and top four finish (as part of the now-defunct fOu) and another Code S top eight in GSL November, now with his new home MVP. Since 2012, however, sC's results have been waning with his last GSL appearance being two seasons ago.
According to MVP's coach, this is not a sudden decision by sC and he's been thinking about a switch "as soon as the game came out". As of today, the ex-terran is officially no longer residing within the team's house. It has also been made clear that sC's switch does not automatically mean that he will be part of MVP's LoL roster and, in coach's words, "when [sC] returns as a professional LoL gamer [MVP] can't realize the fact that he might not be a MVP player anymore."
This is the second retirement of a StarCraft 2 player for today as earlier
Dignitas terran SeleCT also announced the end of his career, hinting a move onto Dota.
