Destination: GJ12 routs Pikachu

It was the start of the Deathmatches, but it ended in a disaster for Pikachu. The Europeans had absolutely no chance against GaryJohnson2012 and will have to watch DreamHack Winter 2012 as spectators.

It was supposed to be a great Best of Five series, but the night ended earlier with GaryJohnson2012 putting the smackdown on their opponents. In all three matches, Gj12 outplayed Pikachu in every regard and is securing their spot in the DreamHon tournament in Jönköping,Sweden.

The first and second matches were dominated by the incredible push power that GJ12 assembled with Keeper of the Forest being a key part in both matches. ZfreeK not only used his minions to push the towers and help his team gain an advantage in team fights, but he also showcased his incredible micro when he surrounded Torturer at the bottom lane in game 2.

In game three Pikachu was with their backs behind the wall and they took care of Keeper of the Forest in the banning stage, which ultimately allowed GJ12 to pick up Tremble. That pickup spelled doom for Pikachu as Khezu is playing the best Tremble in the competitive scene today. He utilized Boris to be a global presence, he helped in ganks, team fights, pushes and counter-ganks and took over the game in a hurry. After 14 minutes Pikachu admitted defeat and the last minute of playtime became a celebration for the international roster of GaryJohnson2012, who will return to DreamHack.
