Alternate’s new support player gave a brief but interesting interview with Eclypsia.
Team Atlernate recently picked up the former-Eloblade team, and with it came their support player Lukasz “Leofromkorea” Mirek. The Pole gave an interview to the Eclypsia website, where he started by explaining why he chose to play support in the first place:
“I like the fact that as a support I'm doing all bunch of things for my team so they don't have to worry about it. You can say I'm doing the dirty work that some people don't find important but I really enjoy the cooperation with my AD-carry on lane, making sure he has visions, doing the timings and lots of other stuff. Support is a role where you have to take care of a lot of things at the same time.”
With that out of the way, he was asked about the upcoming world finals. “There are a lot of great teams taking part,” said Leo. “Top 3 for me would be Moscow 5, Azubu Frost and CLG.eu.” Many fans might share that opinion, but he also named one team with an outside chance of making some unexpected waves. “I think that Taipei Assassins can be a black horse in this tournament,” adding that the Asian meta is very different, meaning they could surprise Western teams.
Finally, the interview turned to the Alternate team. “We like an aggressive playstyle,” he said. “We don't like passive games, we prefer manlike games!” Fighting talk indeed, but he also stated that his team have the ambition to back it up. “Our plan for season 3 is becoming top 3 in the world,” he said. Recent results back up his aspirations and there’s a real chance that Alternate could live up to the hype.
