The last Proleague to feature Brood War matches came to an end today as CJ Entus played Samsung KHAN in the grand finals, ultimately crushing them 2-0 to get their first ever Proleague championship.

One of the most solid teams throughout the entire season, CJ Entus made it every top four in each of the three group phase stages to finish second in the overall ranking, taking a direct flight to the Round of 3 playoffs match. There, they faced SK Telecom T1 - a team that started the tournament poorly only to explode into a Round 3 first place finish and a two one-sided 2-0's against Team 8 in the playoffs.

Despite being the better team stats-wise, CJ did not have the easiest of time against SKT as the reigning champions brought their powerful Brood War line-up to get the lead in both Bo3's and CJ had to rely on their StarCraft 2 skills to turn those matches around and crawl their way to the grand final.

CJ brought on a strong protoss opening in the Brood War set and Horang2 and Snow sealed victories over Reality and Shine to put CJ on 1-0 - a lead even more dangerous considering that only StarCraft 2 games were to follow, and Entus still had hero[join] and Effort to unleash.

And just like they have been doing all season, the CJ stomping duo carried out what they were called for and carried Entus to victory and their very first Proleague championship.
