KT Violet passes away

The grim news from just a few hours ago confirm that KT Rolster's Jung-Ho "Violet" Woo has passed away from leukemia at the age of 23.

Violet was diagnosed with leukemia in 2011 and stepped down from progaming duty to undergo chemotherapy. Today, however, it was announced via KT's facebook page that Violet had lost the fight with the cancer and had passed away.

Violet entered the world of professional StarCraft in 2007 and in '08 to '10 he would become one of KT's most valuable protoss players, going 21-3 in the back-to-back Proleague matches, and would contribute for his team's Proleague championship by opening the grand final series with a win against Canata.

The wake will be held at Seoul St. Mary's Hospital, Funeral Hall 6.
