In an official announcement LG stated that they will be sponsoring one of the leading Korean SC2 pro-teams Incredible Miracle, the home of notable players such as NesTea, Mvp, Losira, Happy and more.
Hints about the sponsorship actually surfaced 10 days ago when Googims Company - another of IM's sponsors - posted images of NesTea and Mvp wearing the LG logo on their shirts.
Following the confirmation of the sponsorship, IM coach Dong Hoon Kang said in an interview for Thisisgame.com that this will give the team more stability, allow them to invest more aggressively and will benefit some players more directly, namely NesTea and Mvp who will now be getting "top-tier salaries".
- "This event will surely benefit other teams," added Kang. "I have a feeling that this event marks the beginning of the full potential of SC2 teams. Also I hope this sponsorship could deliver the message to public. We still have so many things to show and we put a lot of effort in to it. I hope all our efforts are paid off in the future starting with this sponsorship."
