Revenge is a dish best served cold they say but DongRaeGu's chances are freezing by the minute. In the winners bracket final, the MVP zerg once agail lost to the terran that kept him away from the Winter Arena gold - MarineKingPrime.
This newborn rivalry caught fire again on Dual Sight as the opening map. DongRaeGu was forced into a defensive state by MKP's double reactor hellion build, but the zerg was good enough to use sim city to keep his drones alive. He then transitioned into the fasterst lair possible, having ultralisk cavern by the 15th minute mark. On the other side of the map, MarineKing was going for pure hellion/thor mech. The terran was surgical with his attacks, crippling the zerg economy by killing both his third and fourth, during which we saw the otherworldly micro of hellions surrounding ultralisks and grilling them to death.
The early lead of MarineKing was nullified on Daybreak with a very standard zerg victory as DRG managed to swing a base-trade in his favor and finish the deal with broodlords. We had to wait for the Entombed Valley set to get this second bun of MKP ingenuity. The reigning champion once again boarded the hellion/thor rollercoaster only to show us more unbelievable micro. Thor splits, medivac pick-ups and crazy marine (!) reinforcements concocted a style of terran that DRG had no answer for. The banelings were useless and hive tech was never reached and thus DRG had to surrender the series.
