DRG has a ZvT reputation to defend and he did that just perfectly against Heart in the winners bracket semi-final. The Winter Arena runner-up was ruthless agains Complexity's terran and will await either MarineKing or Parting in the WB final.
In game one on Metropolis, Heart went for a 1-basing 4-rax bio build and kept constantly pressuring DongRaeGu in hopes to find a crack somewhere in the zerg defense. Such, however, were nonexistent and DRG stayed on banelings, speedlings and drones (because what else would you use to fight off marines with), delaying his spire till the very last possible minute, knowing when would mutalisks do the most damage.
Eventually, Heart fell victim to his own style of play. The constant aggression put him out of position when mutalisks entered his base and he was in no position to go back in time to defend it. Additionally, one of his pushes was caught out of position and as it died, so did Heart.
The second game was played on Shakuras with DongRaeGu being a constant nuisance with small packs of zerglings that delayed Heart's early-game pushes on multiple occasions. Heart was officially nailed down when a well-calculated baneling/mutalisk bust saw the end of his base.
- "I want to get revenge on MarineKing for Winter Arena so I prefer to play him next," said DongRaeGu in the post-match interview.
