Of the twenty players participating in this season of Code S, nearly half have never, or have recently been introduced to, playing in Code S, showing that GOM's new system is bearing fruit.
As reported a few days ago, GomTV put Naniwa's Blizzard Cup run in the past and made him a recipient of a Code S seed, him now being the only foreigner present in the competition as SEn forfeited his Up/Down spot and HuK failed to survive the dire competition. The Swede is paired with strong players such as MVP, Ryung and Puzzle in Group G and as it is, this is anyone's ticket to the playoffs, but eyes will be set naturally on MVP and Ryung.

Eyes are also set to Maru, Polt, TheSTC, and Liquid's HerO to make a splash among the old guard, but looking at the groups as a whole, no one can expect to have any guarantees anymore.
Also making a splash in this season of Code S, the new maps ESV_Ohana and Atlantis Spaceship will replace Crossfire SE and Bel'Shir Beach.
