Toy: 'To the very end!'

As last month's second runner's up, MitH-Trust have come a long way to arrive at where they are today. Placed in what many refer to as GEST March's Group of Death, find out what the team has been up to and feels about facing Orange, Velocy and XctN in their group stage matches tomorrow.

Speaking on behalf of the team is their manager, Piyatat "Toy" Bunnag.

How is the DotA scene in Thailand? Are there more DotA or Dota 2 players there?
-"Well, I have to agree that the Dota 2 scene in Thailand seems very sparse and that there are not many people playing the game compared to DotA (probably because we often have DotA tournaments here). As a result, the DotA scene in Thailand is still highly competitive.

We have a couple of strong competitive DotA teams here in Thailand, however, I would love to see more teams opening up to Dota 2 here."

Do you identify your team as more of a DotA team, a Dota 2 team or a 'team in transition'? Why and how about in the future?
-"If we had a choice, we would move on to Dota 2, but as I have mentioned, the DotA community in Thailand still mainly revolves around the Warcraft 3 version of the game. We would have to wait and see how Dota 2 evolves in Thailand before making any decisions since not many people know about the game yet."

Have you played 6.74? What do you feel about the changes made?
-"Yeah, we have played a couple of games using 6.74 and we feel that the new changes will affect how we draft heroes since there will be heroes added to the CM pool now."

How will the metagame change? Which heroes will rise and which will fall out of favor?
-"Well, I'm predicting all the new heroes (Rubick, Thrall) to rise and these two heroes have strong potential in teamfights with Wisp having a very strong global skill. However, it will ultimately depend on how each team adapts them to their own style of play.

If you're asking if any hero will fall out of favor in 6.74, I don't think we will see that happening in the competitive scene in my opinion as there are many ways of playing heroes nowadays. I'd say that it's up to how the team chooses to use them in their lineups."

Have your team been practising DotA with the other participating international teams?
-"Here's our training schedule (and there are two kinds) - firstly, when its off-season and there are no tournaments going on, we will train only two to three days per week and four hours each day (we'll play around one or two games and spend the rest of the time discussing how we can improve on our play). However, when there's a tournament approaching, we will step up and train at least five days per week.

We have been training with the other international teams, though we mostly playing with Orange compared to the rest. We're very grateful and would like to thank the Malaysian team for sparing time to train with us."

Excluding the Chinese, which country do you think is leading the competitive scene in South East Asia? In other words, which country or team specifically will be your strongest competitor this weekend?
-"Well, of course, every team participating at GEST are strong but if I had to choose a team/country I guess my team and I can all agree on Mineski from the Philippines. They are really strong and innovate their own playing style. At this point, I feel that the other Philippine teams are catching up as well (XctN, Revitalize, iZONE125) because within the Philippines, these teams are all highly competitive themselves."

What do you have say about your group (with Orange, XctN and Velocy)?
-"*laughs* Group of Death! It will be hard for us but we will do our best and fight on."

How was last month's GEST for you (in terms of the match schedules, organisers, host servers, prize pool)?
-"First and foremost, we would like to thank Gigabyte for hosting the tournament and even though it was their first attempt I felt it was a great one and we would like to see it continue to develop and improve in the future."

Are you looking forward to playing in all twelve editions of GEST (until February 2013)?
-"Of course. If given the opportunity, MitH-Trust would like to take part in GEST until the very end!"

That's a wrap. Any shoutouts?
"*laughs* We, MitH-Trust, would like to thank our sponsors, MitH, as well as SteelSeries, Asrock, MSI and Tn accessories. Thank you for supporting us throughout the months and also to all our fans out there.

Last but not the least, thanks to GosuGamers for this interview and we promise to do our best to beat the rest!"
