The red stream of MLG Orlando broadcasted a vista that sent the foreign crowd in an uproar. In the opening match of Pool D, EG's protoss HuK trampled the zerg legend July with a 2-0, to kick off the tournament with a blast.
July opened the series with his characteristic go-for-the-throat aggressive style, forcing a cancel on HuK's quick nexus and then transitioning to a solid mid-game roach style. However, July started picking up fights that weren't favourable at all for him and soon HuK was one base ahead and with higher worker count, snatching the first set with ease.

The second set on Antiga Shipyard developed similarly with July picking some stranded sentries early in the game with his roaches but overextending every step of the way from that point on, allowing HuK to rip him apart with perfectly placed forcefields and insane blink micro. The God of War gg-ed for the 0-2.

Simultaneously on the blue stream, MC met Hero in another Pool D match. After two short sets, MC walked out the victor as it befits his reputation of a PvP maestro. This ties him with HuK for first place in the group, both being 2-0 in sets.
