ESWC Online Qualifier Recap

After two days of play, the ESWC online qualifiers have been completed. With only 13 teams out of a possible 32 entering the competition, teams had to fight extra hard to get a free pass to the offline finals.

With a lot of great games behind us, the top 4 teams have been decided and have made their way into the ESWC offline finals. The qualifiers were marked with a bit of controversy as the game between Na'Vi and EMC had to be replayed due to Na'Vi playing with a substitute from a different team, M5.G. The replay of the game was a great show, which can be downloaded from Here. There was many other great games played, but none quite as good as this one. One of the standout performances would have had to be Rangers, getting placed in the loser bracket from the 2nd round onwards, fighting through many strong teams such as Decerto, EMC and 4GL, to end up placing 3rd.

The final game of the winner bracket vs the loser bracket didn't take place, seeing as they both get the same prize regardless, so Na'Vi and Monkey both take first place.
