xiao_D interviewed after EHOME clash

Ahead of their much anticipated clash against TyLoo, 178 DotA managed to get a short interview with OK.Nirvana.CN's xiao_D after their match against EHOME, regarding their performance and the future of the Chinese scene.

We have the translated transcript of the interview below.

Thank you for accepting this interview. Your team managed to beat EHOME and proceed to the elimination bracket, tell us about some of the emotions you are feeling right now.
I am excited and thrilled that we are able to beat EHOME, especially since we had unplanned change of roster for WCG, being able to appear and then beat EHOME is quite a feat. We will practice even harder to be even more prepared for the next rounds.

You mentioned an unplanned roster change, which is neo temporarily coming to play for OK.Nv.cn for WCG. In the previous match his ES was fairly outstanding, what is your opinion of him, and why the roster change at this time?
He is a very seasoned player. Before when we played WCG Wuhan qualifiers he and another player both played and according to the rules we were only allowed one member change so one of them had to stay to play and we chose neo. In the match it was evident for all to see that his ES was stable with good fissures and good engages, so I feel that the fact that he could play for us for WCG is good for us.

What do you think of your performances in the two matches against EHOME and NL?
I feel that I played average, and as a team we slowly found our form and rhythm back and managed to put in a good performance against EHOME.

What made you join OK.NV.Cn?
Nirvana this club has a very big reputation and at that time they were one player short so when the offer came I deliberated for quite some time and eventually made a decision by myself to join the team.

What do you think of EHOME’s poor form?
I feel EHOME at the moment do not have the aura of invincibility that they had at this time last year and they seem to be a bit weaker as the two new players have a different style of play than the three older players, resulting in them lacking a sense of rhythm in their play and might account for some of their poor performances as of late. However I feel that with time they will slowly find this rhythm back and play much better as a team.

EHOME at the moment do not have the aura of invincibility...
You will be facing TyLoo in the semi finals, do you feel prepared or have any specific strategies in mind?
We have been preparing for the match against TyLoo for quite some time because we faced them in the final rounds of PDL as well. As for strategies we will play by ear but I feel that we are in a much better vein of form and playing much better as compared to the last time we faced them, so I am optimistic that we will be able to beat them.

CCM has just been bought over by Invictus Gaming(iG), headed by Wang Sicong and with the subsequent influx of 4 players from LGD, what is your view on this development and did any of your OK.NV team mates receive invites to join as well?
I don’t know if any of my team mates got invitations but I did not. As for his involvement I feel that time will tell and we will have to cross the bridge when it comes but no matter what he has planned for them I feel that it will definitely not be harmful to the players. Sponsors are plentiful and I don’t think that he will be able to change much but of course I hope that his actions will be able to guide us in the right direction.

...time will tell and we will have to cross the bridge when it comes
In this WCG qualifiers we have seen Kael the Invoker played quite often, but this was not the case in many previous competitions where he would be first ban material, why are teams no longer specially looking out for him and banning him?
I don’t know much about the other teams strategy but as for us, our usage of invoker is average, we don’t play Invoker that much and we are not that particular about whether he is picked as we have our own method of dealing with him so he will probably appear quite frequently in our matches, as for the other teams I have no clue.

Thank you for accepting this interview and we wish you the best of luck for your upcoming matches.
Thank you for this interview, and special thanks to the Nirvana organization and our sponsors.
