Assembly Summer PlayOffs Preview Part Two

Sjow vs Bischu, Today 11:00 CET, www.assemblytv.net

Swede on Swede, a teamkill, and more then that a house kill(Bischu and Sjow share a training house), this can turn out as unpredictable as it gets.

It is true that even despite his recent decline the IEM champion has still posted the better results, but it is also true that Sjow has been finding himself with increasing regularity against opponents who were capable of taking advantage of his low APM and lack of scouting. And with almost double Sjow's APM and unique insight into how Sjow plays, who if not Bischu the perfect candidate to abuse that and catch his mate off guard.

Kas vs Seiplo, Today 11:00 CET, www.assemblytv.net

It looks like the Ukrainian Terran has finally got over his live tournaments jitters. Again. The notoriously strong online, yet fragile in an offline environment, Kas has underperformed at LANs since his WC3 days. He finally seemed to get over his discomfort at the Copenhagen games where he placed second. But that success as well as third place finish at the Team Liquid Star League seemed to send Kas into an extensive, month long slump, in June which saw Kas dip way below his 65 win % (down to 55) as well as face his worst consecutive loss streak - 7. But the rehabilitation has come to an end. Kas is out of his group with a solid 3-0, a 'notch' above his last place group finish in his last large offline event- DreamHack Summer.

His opponent - Seiplo - is continuing the tradition of the Swedes to be generally good at StarCraft, even if somewhat underrated. This low profile Protoss player has managed to amass a large amount of online victories as well as 1-1(2-2) record against Kas himself. His group results indicate trouble for the Terran as well- Seiplo managed to take down both terrans- Merz and Fuzer - in his group, finishing second behind the clear favorite in Morrow.

Sen vs Stephano, Today 11:00 CET, www.assemblytv.net

It's Stephano's worst nightmare.

It seemed that it took more effort for Stephano to try to lose his game against BratOK to avoid Sen than it took for him to win the rest of his group. And there is a very good reason for that. Sen, by many considered to be best foreigner zerg, has been a menace in ZvZ. Well every single match up. One game away from being a NASL finalist he disposed of creme de la creme of both Korean and non-Korean ZvZers on the way there.

And it's not like Stephano is a pushover. His ZvZ is at 66%, he holds notable victories against, among others, Nerchio and Dimaga, and yet he is a clear underdog. And that is a shame. Because has this tournament went slightly different this match up could easily be a grand final.

Elfitajja vs Jimpo, Today 11:00 CET, www.assemblytv.net

Now that's exciting. Two underdogs bringing their A-game to Assembly and showing extremely high level performances. Upsets? I'd say. Ex-Schroet Kommando player Jimpo has done nothing less then knock out the Dreamhack and HomeStory cup champion HuK while Elfi took out NaDa, securing first place in his group. With solid victories over the representatives of the feared Korean pro-scene, its is completely impossible to predict who will win this match up or how it can possibly go. All we know is that it's gonna be amazing.
