Gosu Weekly #5

The Gosu Weekly tournament is ready to hit its 5 episode, this time with the map pool relating to the 2010-2011 ProLeague season. All players, regardless of their age, gender, education or skills are invited.

The tournament will start on July 3rd, 20:00 CET but you can already sing yourself up for it. All you have to do is follow the link listed among the sources on the bottom of the news and fill the form. It should not take more than 10 seconds.

This week's map pool will relate to the 2010-2011 ProLeague season. For those of you who do not really know these maps, we prepared a short description of each of them.
Gosu Weekly #5 map pool
Round 1Alternative 1.3 - it is a two players map with spots on 6 and 12 o'clock positions. The second natural expansion, which is placed on the higher ground is pretty hard to defend.
Round 2New bloody Ridge 2.1 - another 2 players map, this time on the jungle world tileset, with spots on 1 and 7 o'clock positions. Besides the natural expansion, there are two more located very close to each main base.
Round 3Neo Aztec 2.1 - it is a 3 players map with starting locations on 4, 8 and 12 o'clock positions. Locking at the statistic, this map seems to be the best balanced of all this season's ProLeague maps.
Round 4
Dante's Peak 2.0 - it is a four players map with spots on 2, 5, 8 and 11 o'clock positions. It looks a little like a combination of a few other maps, like Python, Fighting Spirit, Longinus and more.
Round 5La Mancha 1.1 - another four players map, with starting locations on 1, 5, 7 and 11 o'clock positions. The tileset is desert, for a change and it looks just like it's called, a windmill!
Round 6Neo Beltway 2.0 - it is four players map on badlands with spots on 1, 5, 7 and 11 o'clock positions. Each main base is pretty huge compering to the other maps and a temple is blocking the dropable highground behind the natural.

Meet in channel: "GosuWeekly" on iCCup before the tournament, and you must also confirm your participation 30 minutes prior to the start time, by which the "register" button will change into "confirm".

It has not yet been decided whether there will be a live stream or not.

Due to problems with our tournament page, it is recommended not to use the Opera or FireFox web browsers while viewing the brackets.

See you all this Sunday, 20:00 CET.
