Some of the best teams in Europe (and a single North American team) are ready to face off in the EMS' first season of Heroes of Newerth. Over the next six weeks, each of these teams will play every member of their group twice. The top two in each group will make it out of the group stage and advance to the playoffs.

Group A
Team Empire is the favorite to win Group A. They were recently knocked out of the HoNor Tournament Invitational by SK Gaming, and have a chance to make it into the playoffs of the SK Gaming HoN Tournament in a tiebreaker match against Online-Kingdom. I predict Binary Evasion to take a close second in the group.
Group B
Infused is the favored team and should have no problem winning the group. The other three teams all qualified in Qualifier Cup #2; right now, it's unclear which of the three underdogs will make it out of group play.
Group C
Jokes On Youz and TS-Gaming will most likely advance to the playoffs. But wake up bro consistently made it to the quarterfinals of multiple qualifiers. Could they pull off an upset?
Group D
Reason Gaming pulled off a 2-0 upset against FnaticMSI in the SK Gaming HoN Tournament and made it into the playoffs there. They should make it out of the group, along with Online-Kingdom.
The group stage matches are scheduled on Sunday for the next six weeks. Which, if any, of the underdog teams have a chance to make it out of their groups?
