Viktor 'Isildur1' Blom All Smiles After Best 36 Hours Results

0868ad7f7ddda50dfcae04c3cd6d0c1eb4592fec48dae4aee276ba3906.jpgApparently beating Dan "Jungleman12" Cates for $51,196 in Sunday's Superstar Showdown infused Viktor "Isildur1" Blom with tremendous energy and momentum. He reeled of an incredibly impressive 36 hours of play against multiple top opponents, beating each soundly to the tune of over $500k.

First, blom booked 6,151 hands of $25/$50 PLO. He beat CardRunners instructor Mike "gordo16" Gorodinsky for $159k (about 32 buy-ins worth).

Next Blom played high stakes regular Sphinx87 beating him for $64k.

Then Blom finished off that streak against Australian Mitch "LooneyGerbil" Carle who claimed Isildur1 was too good in the chat box before accepting his $40k loss.

Although he wasn't finished with his run, it erased most of his downswing he had experienced on PokerStars in 2011 since signing as a pro.

On Tuesday, it was Phil "MrSweets28" Galfond that took the next beating as Isildur1 beat him for nearly $150k.

The amazing aspect to these numbers is that it was all played at $25-$50. The $500k upswing over the past 48 hours represents 100 buy-ins, a huge amount to swing so quickly.

If you include the Superstar Showdown's 2500 hands with the other 10,539 hands and calculate the bb/100 win rate you come up with an incredible 77.7 bb/100 or 38.8 BB/100.

Any established poker pro will recognize those win rates as both massive and unsustainable long term, but very impressive nonetheless. If it means there will be a lot more high stakes action in the coming weeks, it can only be a good thing.
