Curse.com acquires WoWWiki to create new Wiki-site!

Curse.com who recently bought up MMO-Champion are now getting help from Ex-WoWWiki Admins to create a new Wiki-site.

The well-known site Curse.com have decided to get help from Ex-WoWWiki Admins with their new site Wowpedia.org. According to Curse.com Wowpedia.org is their latest free-to-use community driven site where members with premiere content will be able to help eachother make the experiences both in-game and out of the game better.

Wowpedia.org will be ad-free the coming next two months. However Curse.com will have to advertise eventually to cover the hosting fees, but says that the ads will never affect the flow of content on a page nor will they be noticable.

Wowpedia.org is already expanding!

The site has only been up live for a week and already it has:

• Over 330,000 visits
• 15 administrators, who are all working hard on building the information resource for World of Warcraft
• Over 72,000 registered users who are contributing to the wiki and its community
• Over 218,000 pages have been created, with more than 84,000 content pages

Even though the stats look very good, Curse.com are still asking the community for help so that the site can continue to expand.
