The former WarCraft 3 gamer DeMusliM sat down with GosuGamers after his games against PhoboS in the first round of GosuCup StarCraft 2 beta Invitational, and the Brittish terran player is excited about the tough terran vs terran matches coming up.
- I've never seen PhoboS play StarCraft 2 - but my expectations were high. My TvP is pretty strong right now - or just TvP in general is, I'm not quite sure - I knew I had to lay down the law early game since P is pretty strong late - and that's pretty much how it went."
After the game, DeMusliM was happy he won, but is looking forward to the upcoming games;
- "It definitely feels good - I have some tough opponents coming up and I'm always excited about that. My TvT has improved and that's all I'll be getting next, and maybe again after that so I'm hopeful."
Could you tell us a bit about your games against PhoboS?

- "The 1st game I reaper rushed him, and he was very behind economically that I set up an expo and a few barracks that he couldn't come back. The 2nd game I did a marauder push and killed a lot of probes while expoing - then I went ahead to expo again and set up starports for banshees."
DeMusliM will be taking on the winner of Raven and Cloud, both terran players, who will face each other on Thursday.
- "Actually I didn't know much about the foreign SC:BW scene - and I've been trying to catch up on that recently, and as far as I've been told - both were good Brood War players, so I expect both of them to be pretty tough. I can't decide on a winner as I've seen ClouD hit top 8 in ZOTAC, and I haven't seen much of Raven. Raven is a really nice guy, and I haven't spoke to ClouD, so either one going through I won't be surprised. I really can't separate the two ^^"
Who is the favorite of the whole GosuCup tournament?
What were your expectations before the beta started regarding the former WarCraft 3 and StarCraft players? And how has it turned out?
- "Before the beta - I would say StarCraft players would of had the edge due to handling a harder macro based game (lesser game functions). But after seeing how it's starting to settle down abit and the better players are staying at the top - and the one's that were riding the wave sinking abit - I'd say it's pretty nice how it's even.
It's a fresh playing field and everyone is experiencing new stuff. The nice thing is the players that were top of their previous games seem to also move onto be top of StarCraft 2.
ZOTAC cup #7 was played recently as well, what happened in your set against Insolent?
- "I got to the semi's after defeating Strelok, then I had to play vs a Ukraine player named Insolent, also known as CryBaby. I was reasonably confident as
I played several TvT's throughout the tournament and performed pretty well. The games started and within 1 minute of the first game, I had pretty much a powerpoint presentation going down - my fps dropped to 7-10 and the delay was pretty terrible - I just couldn't flow with the game at all, so after trying to play with it in the first game - (I lost 3 siege tanks ridiculously - without even sieging them) I had to call gg."
- "After trying to play a few games, the admins decided to give a default win either way - I asked for tests (crybaby vs admin and me vs admin) just to see who the problem was - Both games were lag free, was just a problem with my net and his colliding - in one of the regames I just said gg gl in final - it's the first time i've seen him and I thought I'd give him a shot at the final."
LaLush managed to turn around his match against InfeRnaL after losing the first game. The Swedish zerg player moves on to meet LucifroN in the quarter finals.
